The April Fool’s Day celebrations are surely picking up pace and the number of pranks are on the rise. The latest to join in is Flipkart, which has posted an image on its website and Facebook page introducing a new service called Delivery of Cash (DOC), which is basically an ATM-kind of service at home.

DOC essentially brings an ATM right to your doorsteps so you won’t have to step out of your home to take out hard cash. The page states – “Two years after the launch of its era-changing Cash on Delivery option, Flipkart gears up to initiate its one-of-a-kind Delivery of Cash service. You no longer have to visit ATMs for that much needed money! Just go online or call our ever-ready personnel to get quick cash delivered home. And pay us with a simple swipe of your card!” Also Read - Flipkart Big Saving Days sale begins for Plus members: Check top 5 deals on smartphones
Though it sounds quite legitimate, it is sadly all but a prank. The one thing that gives it away is the Trademark sign on the image besides the name DOC, which sports an ‘MT’ inside the circle instead of the usual ‘TM’.
A DOC feature does sound promising though and could very well have been a hit in our country where ATMs aren’t always available nearby.
