After listing the Google Nexus 6 on its site last week, Flipkart today released a teaser on social media that further reiterates the looming launch of the device on the e-commerce site. Apart from Flipkart, the device will also be available on Google Play Store. The 32GB variant of the Nexus 6 is priced in India at Rs 44,000, while the 64GB variant costs Rs 49,000. Flipkart shared an image which read ‘There’s more to it, than meets the eye’ with a picture of a red Lollipop in the bottom right. The ‘O’ in the word more is replaced with the number 6 , representing the Nexus 6. And, the Lollipop image in the bottom right is a clear indication of the OS running on the new Google flagship. This image is further attestation that the Nexus 6 launch is very near, contradicting earlier reports that state the launch has been delayed due to supply issues. The Nexus 6 features a 2.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor paired with 3GB RAM and Adreno 420 GPU. The phone is available in 32GB or 64GB storage options. The device has a 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilisation, and a 2-megapixel front facing camera. You can see how the camera fares by looking at these first photos taken from the Nexus 6.
The Nexus 6 packs a 3,220mAh battery and is available in midnight blue and cloud white variants. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC. The biggest attraction of the phone is that it runs on Google latest Android Lolipop 5.0. The Nexus 6 also includes Motorola s Turbo Chargers, which can charge the phone back up to six hours worth of battery life in 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, Google has begun rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop for Nexus devices today. The update will arrive on the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 smartphones, as well as the Nexus 7 tablets, and the Nexus 10.
