The idea behind the selfie arm is solve a persistent problem — not everyone likes to seem like a loner while clicking selfies. When you click a photo using the selfie arm, the resulting photo looks like you are holding the hands of your loved ones. The designers have only built a prototype of the selfie arm using lightweight fiberglass, which also comes with an adjustable phone mount. There is however no word on if or when they plan to commercialize this concept.
