“BillBachao stands for consumer empowerment, we give our users truly unbiased suggestions based on what is right for their own unique profiles. We want them to get the best value and experience on mobile,” Jonathan Bill said in a statement.
BillBachao is web and application based. The app (only available on Android as of now) asks for your number, your data usage, your average monthly spend and activation of GPS settings. Based on your input, the BB meter gives you tariff plans from different carriers that will help you cut costs.
The interface is simple, with options to browse different plans and network experience. However, the app needs to run on your phone for at least 3 days for it to be able to gauge the best network carrier for you. It also has an option to rate your current operator based on your experience. There is also a ‘Customize my Plan’ option that that lets you feed in your criteria, and then the app digs into its vast database and tailors out a plan for your usage.
Overall, it’s a good app but only after a week’s usage, can you ascertain its reliability and efficiency. The company claims that it will keep its database up-to-date with new tarrif plans regularly to give its users the best experience.
As mentioned above, the app is available on Android for free currently, however, the app will be rolled out for iOS users soon.
Jonathan Bill will be speaking at BGR India‘s Dream 500 Million Smartphones in India event in New Delhi on December 17.
