Fortnite has suddenly turned into a game that you cannot ignore, whether you play or not. There is something or the other happening inside the game that warrants huge appreciation from those who play the game religiously. Epic Games, the creators of Fortnite, have been adding new features almost every week and the latest update (also referred to as patch) brings a number of new enhancements to the gameplay.
Fortnite update 4.51 brings the Spiky Stadium to the Playground mode along with a new Port-a-Fortress item for all Battle Royale variants. The patch also introduces a new LTM called Soaring Solos. The new Spiky Stadium is a deployable arena found in red Supply Drops in Playground and it contains bouncers and damage traps. Epic says the item has been designed to promote creativity amongst the community as they plan new activities around the arena.
Port-a-Fortress, on the other hand, spawns a huge fortress for the players to defend from. The item falls in Legendary rarity and can only be found in Vending Machines, chests, supply drops and supply Llamas. The Port-a-Fortress seems similar to previously introduced item like the Port-a-Fort, with the former being much larger.
Soaring Solos, the last major addition to the game, is a new mode that Epic Games describes as a “classic Battle Royale”. The game involves gliders that can be re-deployed by pressing jump when falling from large heights. It is important to note that Epic describes this new mode as a limited time mode in the changelog provided as part of this patch.

Apart from these key new features, Epic is also addressing a bug which caused reload audio for the Double Barrel Shotgun to play twice. It notes that unsupported characters within in-game names will show up as a question mark with black background rather than the fallback debugging font glyph. It also adds new generic icons to represent console and desktop platforms for cross-platform play.
