With Foxconn looking at diversifying its assembly operations and Mozilla looking for new partners to promote its up and coming mobile OS, the deal looks to be a win-win situation for both the companies. Foxconn is also said to be hiring around 500 to 1,000 engineers in Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan to develop these new devices.
Earlier it was believed that one of the first devices co-developed by Foxconn and Mozilla would be unveiled on June 3, but it is clearly going to miss that deadline.
