While Apple tries to keep the iPhone 6 under the wraps, its manufacturing partner Foxconn has yet again issued a statement confirming that it is indeed the manufacturing a 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6. In addition to confirming that it is manufacturing the two variants of the iPhone 6, Foxconn also revealed that it will supply 70 percent of all 4.7-inch iPhones by next year. Foxconn s China plant will start shipping the device from July onwards. At the same time the 4-inch iPhones will still be manufactured and will be shipped by Foxconn. As far as the bigger 5.5-inch iPhone 6 is concerned, the manufacturer revealed that production will start in August. The press release is bizarre and even quotes “sources” when it comes to the volume of overall iPhones Foxconn would produce. Earlier this year, Foxconn had issued a statement that it expects to manufacture 90 million units of the iPhone 6 this year. Apple wasn t too pleased with its manufacturing partner sending out press releases. Wonder how the Cupertino-based company will react to the second press release.

5.5 and 4.7 inch iPhone will be manufactured by Foxconn in 2014
MUMBAI, India – June 2, 2014
Foxconn, world’s leading manufacturer of computer components and systems, is going to manufacture both 5.5-inch and 4.7-inch iPhone in 2014.
According the sources, Foxconn will supply 70% of the 4.7-inch iPhone shipments for 2015. The 4- and 4.7-inch iPhones will be the main sales force of Apple for 2014. Foxconn’s plants in Zhengzhou, China are expected to start supplying the 4.7-inch model in July and start manufacturing the 5.5-inch one in August.
