Noida-based startup Ringing Bells, maker of the world’s cheapest smartphone ‘Freedom 251 , have roped in Bollywood actress Sunny Leone to promote its loyalty card program. The selfie events will be held in Dehradun and Meerut on November 8, and Kanpur and Agra on November 9. Loyalty cards of Rs 500, Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,000 can be purchased on Ringing Bells’ website. Ringing Bells has launched three loyalty cards a silver card for Rs 500, gold for Rs 1,000 and platinum for Rs 2,000. Using these cards, one will be able to get discounts of five percent, 10 percent and 15 percent respectively, on the purchase of the company s products. Bookings for these loyalty cards start from September 1, and the cards will be valid to use for a year. The discount apart, what s caught our attention is that Ringing Bells says it will give a Freedom 251 unit for free on the purchase of the silver or gold card or two units on the purchase of a platinum card. In essence, buying into this whole loyalty program is a surefire way to get your hands on a Freedom 251, albeit an expensive one.
“We introduced loyalty card programme last month and received encouraging response from our customers. The main objective of this contest is to make our customers feel special and appreciate their association with us,” the company said in a statement. “Loyalty card members will get entry to the Sunny Leone event free of cost and 10 lucky members from each city will get a chance to click a selfie with her,” it added.
