Xiaomi is all set to host an event in Beijing today where it is widely expected to launch around three new devices. The event starts at 2PM Beijing time, which is 11:30AM IST. One of the three devices could be the rumoured Redmi Note 2 Pro, which could be launched as the Redmi Note 3. The Mi Pad 2 of which we have been hearing since late last year is another device that could finally be unveiled at the event. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 specifications and features: It is expected to sport a 5.5-inch 1080p display. The smartphone could be powered by a 2GHz MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core 64-bit SoC paired with 2GB or 3GB of RAM and internal storage of 16GB. The Redmi Note 3 could also sport a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, along with a 3,060mAh battery and connectivity options such as 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. The smartphone is expected to run on Android 5.1 Lollipop based MIUI 7.
Mi Pad 2 specifications and features: The Mi Pad 2 has been in news since quite a long time. Similar to its predecessor, the tablet is expected to come with a 7.9-inch (2048 1536 pixels) display. Based on the recent benchmark leak, the Mi Pad 2 is expected to be powered by 2.24GHz Intel Atom x5-Z8500 quad-core chipset, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. On the software front, it could run on Android Lollipop-based MIUI 7.
There are other reports suggesting that Xiaomi could finally take wraps off its first-ever smartwatch. As of now, there aren t enough details about the smartwatch, but we will keep our readers posted as and when Xiaomi makes the big announcement. Till then, stay tuned.
