Mary Meeker’s Internet Trends 2017 report is out and India finds a special place across segments for the rapid pace at which the population is embracing the internet. One of the notable highlights is that India is now the number one global market based on the time spent on the Android platform. Now, there are a lot of factors which go into making the platform so popular amongst Indians, including the number of app installs and their composition. Given that the internet penetration is still at 27 percent as compared to global standards, global companies are squarely focused on offering lighter apps which are able to function even on slower bandwidth. Based on the latest report, here are the 10 most popular Android apps in India. Also Read - Truecaller will now show 'why someone is calling you'
