Gaana has just rolled out an update for its Android app. The app features a new design along with a tie-up with recharge site Paytm among other features.

The background is black, with the logo and the subsequent playlists standing out in comparison. They have also redesigned their player for easy navigation to music videos and lyrics.
Additionally, the app has a new feature called ‘Playlists of the Hour’ where programmed playlists will change every few hours depending on the time and day. The app has bought in language filters and the ability to sync all downloaded music together for members to access it across Android devices.
Furthermore, the music service is giving out up to Rs 100 recharge from Paytm for referring the app to others, with Rs 20 per referral via WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, SMS or email. The update is currently out only for Android users, but the company says that it will soon make it available for iOS and Windows Phone users too. The company claims to offer 3 million songs across 21 languages across web and mobile. The app currently ranks at number six in the music section of Google Play Store and competes with apps like Saavn, Wynk and the recently launched Guvera, which has surprisingly taken the number one spot.
