The upcoming Galaxy Watch was briefly listed on Samsung s own website way ahead of an official launch. At the time of filing this story, the listing has been taken down, but not before being spotted by CNET. The upcoming smartwatch, with model number SM-R810NZDAXAR, was spotted on a comparison page next to the Gear S2. The model number is in line with what was spotted on a recent FCC listing. Watch: Samsung Gear Sport and Fit Pro – Hands On
As seen in the above image, Samsung s smartwatch will be retaining the circular watch face. It is expected to come in two sizes with displays measuring 1.19- and 1.3-inches. The smartwatch is likely to feature an Exynos 7 Dual 7270 chipset, and could also boast a blood-pressure monitor. Earlier reports hinted at the Galaxy Watch running Google s Wear OS. But recent reports have debunked the rumors, claiming that it will instead run on Samsung s own Tizen 4.0.
As mentioned, the Galaxy Watch is expected to be launched at Samsung’s Unpacked event on August 9 at New York. The watch will share the stage with the Galaxy Note 9 phablet, and potentially, Samsung’s first smart speaker dubbed Magbee.
