As promised, Flappy Bird creator Don Nguyen has yanked off his viral game from both Android Play Store and iOS App Store. Flappy Bird had become a viral sensation partly due to the simplistic gameplay and elements borrowed from other classic games and partly because of it being frustratingly difficult to play. Flappy Bird was said to be making $50,000 every day for Nguyen from in-game advertising but he seemed to be unable to cope with all the attention coming his way, especially from a section of the press that called him out for copy-pasting elements from other games and lacking originality.
