Life of a gamer can be difficult, because it requires a lot of dedication and hard work. Ten hour practice sessions in a day are pretty regular things in the life of a gamer. And this can easily disrupt the balance in life between gaming and the other necessary aspects like rest, social, and family life.
Douglas Martin, who is a professional Call of Duty player and goes by the name of “Censor” recently came face-to-face with this reality, and not in the best way. Censor was in a relationship with ‘Weathergirl’ Yanet Garcia, who also happens to be a model, and has a prominent presence online.
A couple of months back Censor announced on his YouTube channel that he has broken up with Garcia saying, “I want to win a Call of Duty championship, she wants to be a supermodel-actress. Chase your dreams. Life’s too short. You gotta do what you love in life.” A day before this YouTube video was posted, Yanet Garcia tweeted, “Heartbroken.”

Winning this Championship would have earned Censor and his team, FaZe Clan, $600,000, but as it turned out, they didn’t win. FaZe Clan came third instead, and won only $100,000. But he has now come out to say in a new series that he stands by his decision to break up with Garcia, and does not regret the decision. “I came back this year and said I was winning the championship. I feel so bad. I really thought our team could do it.” He added, “And no I do not want Yanet back.”

He hit back at naysayers, and vowed to return to the game saying, “A lot of people throw dirt on my name and say that I’m not good enough anymore. But I know I can and I believe in myself.”
