According to the report, the Gear Glass doesn’t look anything like the Google Glass. It has a small earpiece and a prism to view the content. We rolled out the smartwatch first, and have secured a considerable amount of smart glass-related technology and patents. Following the roll out of our smart watch Galaxy Gear in September last year, we are slated to introduce our smart glass Gear Glass this September.
Samsung has been filing patents for a glass-like wearable device and one such patent shows an augmented reality keyboard imposed onto users’ hands that will supposedly help them more easily write out messages. While this is a very cool concept, it’s also one that seems wildly impractical.
Both, the nomenclature as well as the launch timing is tentative at best, so we would suggest you take it with the proverbial pinch of salt.
