As Micromax continues to ramp up the hype around its forthcoming Canvas 4 flagship device, Gionee doesn t want to be left behind and according to a report on VR-Zone, seems to be close to launching an affordable quad-core smartphone of its own called the Elife E6. The ELife E6 is said to boast a very thin form factor with about 8mm of thickness and flaunts a 5-inch 1080p display. It is said to feature a quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor clocked at 1.5GHz and paired with a PowerVR SGX544 GPU and 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel BSI rear camera with LED flash, 5-megapixel secondary camera, a 2,000mAh+ battery and is also said to run on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean.
The report also goes on to say that the Gionee ELife E6 will most likely be priced somewhere between Rs 18,000 and Rs 20,000 and will be launched simultaneously in countries like China and India in the coming weeks.
