The device has already been announced in China and comes in a thin 5.1mm shell comprising both glass and metal. The Gionee Elife S5.1 has a 4.8-inch HD AMOLED screen and is powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor supported by 1GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. The device also has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. It packs a 2,100mAh battery and supports LTE connectivity. The Gionee Elife S5.1 will replace its own Elife S5.5 as the slimmest smartphone in the world. The latter was launched in India earlier this year in March, priced at Rs 22,999. It is however now available on e-commerce sites for around Rs 20,000. It features a 5-inch 1080p display, 1.7GHz octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Also included are 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel snapper at the front, and a 2,300mAh battery.
