Gionee unveiled the Elife S7 at MWC in Barcelona last month. Today, the company has launched its flagship in India, priced at Rs 24,999. The smartphone goes on sale in mid-April.
Successor to last year’s Elife S5.5, the Elife S7’s thinness is again its talking point. The handset is only 5.5mm thick and boasts an aluminum magnesium unibody design. As for size, the company has managed to make the flagship thinner and lighter than before. The Elife S7 features dimensions of 139.8×67.4×5.5mm, and weighs 126.5 grams, while its predecessor’s dimensions are 145.1×70.2×5.6mm and weighs 133 grams.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the Gionee Elife S7 flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD () display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and is powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6752 64-bit octa-core processor. The chipset is paired with Mali-T760MP2 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
On the storage front, the smartphone houses 16GB internal memory, but there is no microSD card slot to expand it. In the photography department, there is a 13-megapixel camera at the back, supplemented with an 8-megapixel snapper up front. There is also a 2,750mAh battery inside with extreme power saver mode.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and on the software front, the flagship runs on Android Lollipop out-of-the-box wrapped under Amigo OS 3.0.
