Gionee has launched its M6 and M6 Plus smartphones in China. The key feature of the smartphones is a dedicated encryption chip that is aimed at protecting your data at hardware level. Other important highlights of the Gionee M6 and M6 Plus include the large 5,000mAh and 6,020mAh batteries respectively.
Gionee’s encryption chip covers RAM, ROM and eFlash (OS) so that the encryption and authentication related information remains within the chip. The technique is supposed to prevent hackers from gaining access to users’ data by bypassing encryptions which are usually at the software level. In case there is an external damage to the chip, the encrypted data cannot be decrypted by the hacker, thus keeping you personal data safe and secure. The chip will safeguard all your data including call records, photos, notes, documents and more.
