The company claims that the battery will provide 32.46 hours of talk time on 3G network, and up to 51 hours on 2G network. On standby mode, it will survive more than 32 days. The device also houses a unique OTG Reverse Charge technology that allows the smartphone to act as a power bank and charge other devices when connected via USB cable.
As for hardware specifications, the Marathon M3 sports a 5-inch IPS One Glass Solution (OGS) display with 720p screen resolution. Underneath the device sits a 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 processor paired with ARM Mali 450MP GPU and 1GB of RAM. On the photography front, it boasts an 8-megapixel camera at the back, and a 2-megapixel camera at the front.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G, Wi-Fi, WLAN Direct, EDGE and GPRS, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, and micro-USB. The phone runs on Android Kitkat 4.4.4 out of the box.
In this price range, the only smartphones that come close to such a massive battery life is Gionee’s very own Marathon M2 which packs a 4200mAh battery and Lenovo’s S860 and P780, both packing a 4000mAh battery.
