Gionee today launched the Marathon M4 in India. This smartphone is priced at Rs 15,499, and the USP is its massive 5,000mAh battery. At this price range, the Marathon M4 is a smartphone with one of the largest battery capacities. Gionee claims that the battery is good enough to offer talktime of up to 50 hours and standby time of 440 hours. The Gionee Marathon M4 sports a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) AMOLED display. Under the hood, you have a 1.3GHz 64-bit quad-core processor along with 2GB of RAM. The handset comes with 16GB of on-board storage, which is further expandable using a microSD card up to 32GB. For photography lovers, the smartphone comes equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera along with an LED flash. There’s also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for clicking selfies and making video calls. Gionee Marathon M4 will be available for purchase in two colors including Black and White. With most smartphones struggling to last until the end of the day, it’s good that manufacturers are now focusing on battery life.
