Gionee is working on two new mid-range smartphones, specifications and images of which have been leaked on Chinese certification site TENAA as well as GFXbench. Both the devices have been spotted earlier this week under the code names S10B and S10C. While the S10C has been spotted on TENAA giving us a sneak peek into the device design and build, the Gionee S10B has been spotted on GFX revealing its hardware specs. As reported by GizmoChina, both the smartphones will launch with a different set of specifications and are most likely to launch as Gionee S10 and Gionee S10 Plus. As per previous reports, one smartphone will come with a dual rear-camera setup and the other will feature a single camera setup. Going by nomenclature that the industry has been following, the Gionee S10 will be the smaller variant and will come with a single rear camera, while the Gionee S10 Plus will come with a dual camera setup at the back.
Gionee S10C specifications features
The Gionee S10C was leaked recently, revealing only the front of the device. Now, the TENAA listing shows the upcoming smartphone from all angles. The images show a space grey variant of the smartphone flaunting a full-metal body. While we know how the front of this smartphone looks, at the rear, the smartphone comes with the main rear camera along with LED flash at the top-left corner. The Gionee branding is placed at the center, while the Antenna lines are visible at the top and bottom. At the front, you can see the camera at the top and the home button at the bottom which is expected to double-up as a fingerprint scanner. The SIM-card slot is on the left while the volume rocker, power buttons are on the right.
In terms of specifications, the Gionee Gionee S10 is expected to feature a 5.2-inch full-HD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. Under the hood, there will be a quad-core SoC clocked at 1.4 GHz and paired with 4GB of RAM. There will also be 32GB of on-board storage. On the camera front, the Gionee S10 will sport a single 13-megapxiel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front snapper. The phone will be powered by a 3,100mAh battery, and the smartphone is expected to run Android Nougat out-of-the-box.
Gionee S10B specifications features
Flaunting an all metal body, the Gionee S10B or the Gionee S10 Plus is said to look exactly like the Gionee S10, apart from the size difference. The only difference one will notice is at the back. The Gionee S10 Plus is said to come with dual-rear camera setup. Apart from that, the design and build of the smartphone remain the same.
Specifications of the Gionee S10 Plus have been spotted on a benchmarking site revealing that the smartphone will come with a 5.5-inch full-HD display. The smartphone will have a hexa-core processor clocked at 2GHz. The GFXBench listing suggests that it could be powered by the MediaTek MT6755 (Helio P10) chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
Running Android Nougat out-of-the-box, the smartphone will get its power from a slightly bigger 3,700mAH battery. Camera wise, according to TENAA listing last week, the smartphone will sport a pair of 13-megapixel rear camera sensors while on the front, it sports a 16-megapixel camera. On the other hand, the GFXbench listing reveals a single 12-megapixel camera. Details on availability and pricing of the smartphones is still unknown.
