Rumor has it that Gionee is working on a new smartphone called, S10, in the mid-range segment. The smartphone was spotted on TENAA last week, revealing some specifications of the phone. However, looks like the S10 is not the only phone Gionee is working on. In the latest development, another smartphone with the name of Gionee S10C has received TENAA certification. The listing on TENAA reveals some important details along with an image of the upcoming smartphone. The availability and price of the smartphone are still unknown though.
As spotted by slashleak, the leaked render reveals the front of the smartphone. At the first glance, the smartphone looks exactly like the previously leaked Gionee S10. The image shows that the smartphone will come with a 2.5D glass on top. Apart from that, the front panel features a front camera, LED flash and a capsule-shaped home button. The power button and the volume rocker are located on the right side on the smartphone.
Other than this, the listing reveals that the Gionee S10C will feature a 5.2-inch HD display. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by a 4×1.4GHz unknown processor paired with 4GB RAM. Also on offer will be 32GB of ROM. The device will sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. Armed with a 3,100mAh battery, the device will weigh 151 grams and come with 148.7 x 73.7 x 7.9 mm dimensions. On the software front, the smartphone will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. No other details are available about the smartphone so far.
On the other hand, the Gionee S10 was recently spotted online. The smartphone is said to be the successor to the last year’s Gionee S9 smartphone. The smartphone is said to feature a 5.5-inch 1080p full HD display along with a 2GHz octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM. It is likely to come with 64GB of flash storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card up to 128GB. The Gionee S10 will come with a 13-megapixel dual-rear camera module along with support for full HD 1080p video recording. Up front, the smartphone will have a 16-megapixel selfie snapper. Keeping the smartphone ticking will be a 3,700mAh battery. On the software front, the smartphone will run on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Going by the specifications, we can expect the Gionee S10C to be a toned-down version of the Gionee S10. While the Gionee S10 is expected to come with a dual-rear camera, the S10C will feature just a 13-megapixel camera at the back. Apart from the screen size, the battery power has also been lowered in the Gionee S10C. Design wise, the company seems to have hardly changed anything if compared to last year’s Gionee S9.
