The company has also reportedly said that the upcoming smartphone s price will be in the sub-Rs 20,000 range. As far as design is concerned, the Gionee S11 features a combination of glass and metal. There s a frame on the sides that is made up of stainless steel, which the company claims is 27 percent stronger than aluminum.
Among the smartphone s USPs is a near bezel-less 5.99-inch FullView display. This display boasts a full HD+ (2160×1080 pixels) resolution, and 18:9 aspect ratio. The other USP is what would interest smartphone photographers.
The Gionee S11 boasts four cameras. There s a dual-camera setup at the back featuring 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors. There s a similar camera setup at the front as well. Both sets of cameras come with additional beautification features.

The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P30 octa-core SoC paired with Mali-G71 MP2 GPU, and 4GB of RAM. There is also 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card.
There s a fingerprint sensor placed at the back, and making sure everything ticks is a 3,410mAh battery. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android Nougat-based Amigo 5.0 UI.
Lately, Gionee has been on somewhat of a launch spree in India. Earlier this month, it launched the S10 Lite smartphone. While last month, it launched the F205, F6, Steel 3 smartphones, along with the M7 Power boasting a 5,000mAh battery. The reason behind this aggressiveness is linked to the Chinese company s aim for the top-five spot in the Indian market by March 2018.
