After launching the Elife S6 in India earlier this year, Gionee seems all set to launch the Pro variant of the smartphone. The company has put a teaser on Weibo for June 13 launch in China. The yet to be unveiled Gionee smartphone is also expected to bring some major improvements over its predecessor. The Gionee S6 Pro is likely to sport a full metal unibody design, fingerprint scanner embedded inside the home button and USB Type-C connectivity port. Gionee S6 Pro specifications, features: Based on the reports, the S6 Pro could flaunt a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) AMOLED display and could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz paired with 4GB of RAM. On the storage front, the smartphone could be offered in 32GB and 64GB storage options and a microSD card slot for further expansion. It is likely to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front facing unit. The smartphone could have a 3,130mAh battery. On the connectivity front, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth and GPS are likely to be in tow. There is however, no word on the pricing and availability yet.
In comparison, the Gionee Elife S6 is priced at Rs 19,999 and features a 5.5-inch HD (720p) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM. With 32GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot for further expansion is also present.
Other features of the smartphone include 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3,150mAh battery, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. On the software front, the Elife S6 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Amigo UI.
