With only few hours left before the Mobile World Congress event kicks off, Gionee has posted yet another video on its social media account teasing the slim form factor of its forthcoming smartphone with the tagline It’s time to witness the power of 7. While information about the forthcoming flagship from the Chinese smartphone is scarce as of now, we could get some idea from the S5.5 s specs. At 5.75 mm waistline, the Elife S5.5 sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED 1080p display with a pixel density of 441 ppi. It is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core CPU coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of unexpandable storage. It boasts a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera.
Gionee is also expected to launch an affordable smartphone at the phone. The handset — which goes by the name Gionee GN9005 — recently stopped by Chinese certification website Tenaa. It features a 4.8-inch 720p AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 8-megapixel rear sensor and a 5-megapixel snapper upfront.
