Motorola One spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 625 SoC and 4GB RAM

Motorola’s upcoming smartphone, the Motorola One is expected to launch in coming weeks and the device has been spotted on the internet through a Geekbench listing. This listing has given us a hint about what to expect from the device when it comes to the specifications of the device.

According to the listing, the device will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 along with 4GB RAM. The device will also come with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box on the software side of things.

Prices of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and Nokia 6.1 slashed

Samsung has reduced the pricing of its Samsung Galaxy Note 8 by Rs 12,000 and the device will not be available for Rs 55,900 on Amazon India and Samsung India store.

This comes days before the company is planning to launch its latest flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Samsung was not the only company to slash the price of one of its smartphones as HMD Global also announced that it is slashing the price of its Nokia 6.1 by Rs 1,500.

The price drop will apply on both the storage and RAM variants. This price drop comes right before the expected launch of one of its latest smartphones in the market, the Nokia 6.1 Plus in the Indian market.

Confidential Mode is now available for Gmail on Android

Google has announced that it is finally rolling out the “Confidential Mode” for Gmail on Android.

If you are not aware of this mode then “Confidential Mode” allows users to send self-destructing emails that will delete themselves in a provided time.

Xiaomi Mi TV 4A is now available through open sale

Xiaomi has just announced that it is making its Xiaomi Mi TV 4A available through an open sale on Flipkart and Mi.com. Earlier the TV was only available through weekly flash sales and open sale means that users can buy the TV at any given time without waiting for the flash sale to try their luck.

The open sale is available for both the 32-inch as well as the 43-inch variants. To recap, the 32-inch variant is priced at Rs 13,999 and the 43-inch option costs Rs 22,999.

At least 68 apps on Google Play Store serving as adware pushing ads to users

Security software and solutions maker Symantec has revealed that about 68 apps on Google Play Store apps are taking advantage of their users by acting as adware.

For the people who don’t know, adware is a program that pushes out ads on any given system. Just like any other adware in the market, these apps are serving ads on devices of the users who have installed them.

10.or could be launching its next smartphone on August 22

10.or maybe planning to launch its upcoming smartphone on August 22, 2018. According to a report by Telecomtalk, a teaser on Amazon revealed that the company is likely to launch the 10.or D2 with 5.45-inch HD+ screen in the coming week.

This comes almost a year after the company launched its first lineup of devices, the 10.or D, E, and G devices.

Airtel is offering unlimited data on some broadband plans to counter Reliance JioGigaFiber

Reliance Jio just opened the registrations for its upcoming broadband internet service on August 15, 2018.

Just days after the registrations opened, Airtel seems to have taken the early cue to counter JioGigaFiber by offering unlimited data on some broadband plans. The thing here to note is that JioGigaFiber is still months away from actual launch.
