Google seems to be working on bringing more features to Gboard, its in-house keyboard for Android. This comes weeks after it was revealed that the company is testing the Smart replies feature inside the app for select applications. Now, a report by Android Police has revealed that Google is working on adding the spell check to Gboard along with a Gboard mini mode for a Morse code keyboard, adaptive icon, and Selfie stickers that are named as Minis . The report pointed out that spell check, mini mode, and adaptive icons are already visible in the new update. However, the spell check feature does not seem to work at the time of writing. As part of the mini keyboard option, the height of the keyboard is reduced while using Morse code so that users can have more screen estate for content. According to the tear-down, the company seems to be working on a floating keyboard which will, in theory, allow the users to move the keyboard to anywhere on the screen so that the keypad does not come in the way of the content.

Google is also planning to bring the selfie stickers to Gboard after introducing them in Google Allo. The company has also renamed them to Minis along with some changes in the interface and how they would look. It is also working to add a dark theme in the battery saver mode, increased language support for sticker search, new languages, and new effects while making a GIF.
