Google has announced a new development environment for Android called Android studio. Google was very vague about the changes made to the app development environment, but some of the big features include layout tools that will help developers make apps that scale properly across a number of form-factors, especially tablets. Google has added referral tracking so that developers will know what ads are more effective in promoting their apps. An Analytics service has also been added and there is also a revenue graph.
With the new console, developers will also be able to roll out test versions of apps in a staggered way, before a full public rollout allow them to beta test the app properly.
