The new Google Assistant is currently available only on the Google Pixel and the Google Pixel XL smartphones. Google s messaging app Allo does have Google Assistant integrated with the app which works through texting. As per the teardown of the beta version s codes for Google Assistant, the possibility of a few features has come into light. The first feature of Google Assistant s latest beta version includes typing. Initially, one could ask questions to Assistant via voice commands, but with the latest update, one can simply type the questions like a one-to-one conversation. This feature is already available in Allo s Google Assistant. The feature comes with a change to the layout of the app, with the inclusion of a keyboard icon and a text box. Along with that the text box has Type something shown within it. One can tap on the keyboard icon after which the text box will appear and the conversation can begin henceforth. This feature could very well prove useful for situations where it can be difficult to speak out aloud.
The second feature that could soon be introduced on Google Assistant is called Search Gestures . As the name suggests, this feature could mean performing gestures like swiping down on the home screen. The details on this Search Gestures feature are still scarce. Some suggestions include swiping to open the search bar instead of tapping on the icon which will prove helpful for smartphones with large screens. Moving on, there could be a new feature for Google Assistant on Android Wear. The only information recovered was an option in the Settings menu for Google Assistant on Android Wear. This could be the option for users to choose a different language for the smartphone and a different one for the smartwatch. There is currently no word on when Google would be rolling out these features for Assistant, or if it would even include them in the app. Codes like these often show up and may take several months for the features to roll out.
