In its forum, Google updated the Voice Match support for video streaming service. To link you personal profile, head to the Google Home app –> More Settings –> Videos and Photos. In the Manage Profile section under Netflix, you will be able to select the profile of choice and the Assistant will resume exactly the show which you were watching and not something your kids left midway.
The Manage Profile option essentially lets you decide which profile is connected to your Voice Match. So each time you tell Assistant to resume playing Netflix, it identifies your voice, matches it with the linked profiles and then displays content.
In addition to the video streaming service, the extended abilities of Voice Match is also available for music streaming services. If you want to remove voice for any of the linked services, you will have to first remove your linked Google account to then remove voice. These are not independent of each other.
Voice Match further allows multiple members to use a single Google Home device. It can offer personalized information such as commute times, daily brief, favorite music, calendar, shopping list, payments, and more. Up to 6 people can use Voice Match on a single Google Home speaker.
