Google's latest doodle on its home page features a girl riding a rocking horse and representing the initial letter of the doodle, followed by a man with a couple of Chinese lanterns in one hand and firecrackers on the other forming the rest of the letters.

According to the Chinese signs and customs, the year 2014 is the Year of the Horse. The Horse is believed to bring prosperity and wealth, while the fire crackers represent the celebrations for this new year, which will run up to a fortnight, till the full moon day.

The Chinese Year of the Horse will begin from January 31, 2014 and will end on February 17, 2015.
