Chrome turned 10 years old yesterday and Google is celebrating the milestone by giving the web browser a huge overhaul. The new changes not only involve visual enhancements, but are also touted to improve the web surfing experience on a daily basis. The update is available across PC and Mac as well as Android and iOS versions.

Google is now changing the way Chrome looks by giving its elements a much rounder look with new icons, and a new color palette. The shape of tabs has also been updated to showcase the website icon much better. The improvements are said to be a delight for someone who has a plethora of tabs open at all times on the browser. For the mobile version on iOS, the toolbar has been moved to the bottom, so it s easier to access. Other elements like prompts, menus, and even the URLs in the address bar have been simplified.

Google seems to have added plenty of new features in the functionality department as well. The update is mostly focused on getting things done faster, so now it has enabled the omnibox at the top to showcase instant answers for certain questions then and there itself. This means users don t have to waste time opening a new tab. This is said to work well for searches related to celebrities, sporting events, weather and tons of other topics. Along with that it will also tell you if a website your searching is already open in one of the tabs and give you the option to quickly switch to it.

Not just that, Chrome also handles passwords, addresses and credit card details much better now. All the information is stored in the Google account. Additionally, Chrome will also help manage passwords better. When signing up for a new service, Chrome will help generate a unique password for it, which it will remember every time you want to log into the website. This will work across devices as well.

With all the changes, Google is looking forward to the next 10 years of Chrome, where it further wants to make the web surfing experience more immersive. It is currently working on integrating augmented reality with both its PC and smartphone versions. While the company is already using artificial intelligence to keep users safe from malicious websites, it is now planning to use AI s capabilities to further make the experience much smoother.
