Google, today announced that its popular web browser, Chrome, will be available on the Apple App store later in the day for both the iPhone/iPod Touch and the iPad. Notably, according to Apple’s app rules for iOS, Google cannot bring its own WebKit rendering engine to the browser and users will not be able to set Chrome as the default browser on iOS devices. While Google is mum on this issue, this will most probably be the case. The web browser will be compatible with devices running iOS 4.3 and higher.
