Google has launched Classroom, a new tool in its Google Apps for Education suite. Classroom is essentially meant for teachers and students to provide them a common platform to communicate with each other easily. Teachers can use this to create and save assignments for students without needing to do paperwork, provide feedback for assignments, as well as keep classes organized. The service has been launched in beta and will be available only in some schools initially.

Google says that this tool will save a lot of time of teachers and will make it easy for them to keep a track of students. Teachers can create assignments and save it as a single document. Classroom uses Google Docs, Drive and Gmail to help teachers create and collect assignments paperlessly. It automatically creates Drive folders for each assignment and will also provide an option to automatically make a copy for each student, which will make it easier for teachers to share it with multiple students. Students on the other hand can be updated about new or pending assignments. Also Read - Common marketing gimmicks that brands should avoid to exploit consumers

This tool will also help teachers in keeping a track of students’ activities to know about those who have or haven’t completed their assignments. Teachers can use it to provide direct, real-time feedback to individual students. Teachers can also use Classroom to make announcements and ask questions as well as communicate with students in real time.
