Out of the two patents, one was filed for an interactive book, which will use motion and pressure sensors that are built right into the pages. It will also include a small lens to project photos on pages. However, this will depend on what user does to the pages or what he presses. To make the experience even immersive, the device would also come with speakers embedded within.
The second patent reveals a tablet embedded within the book. Here, every page on the book would have a secondary vertical page. This digital page will display content to compliment the physical one.
As in case with all patents, they don t generally translate to become real-life products or even a working prototype. While there are chances that the real product may not see the light of day anytime soon, the concept is still interesting. Who knows, in the future, we may see this sort of children s book with augmented reality or virtual reality elements.
