Google is hosting an Independence Day sale for the Google Home, Google Home Mini, and Google Chromecast between August 10 to August 12. During the sale, the prices of the three products are being reduced, offering discounts to buyers looking to purchase any of the smart gadgets. The three Google products are available to buy at Flipkart, Reliance Digital, and Croma now.
Under the deals, buyers of the Google Home Mini will get Rs 1,000 off with the price dropping to Rs 3,499. The Google Home sees a Rs 2,000 price drop to Rs 7,999, while the Google Chromecast gets a Rs 900 reduction to Rs 2,499. While the Google Home and Google Home Mini are smart speakers, the Google Chromecast is a video streaming dongle that you can attach to your HDMI-enabled TV to offer smart TV-style connectivity, and access to various online streaming services.
The Google Home is ordinarily priced at Rs 9,999, so this is a good discount on the speaker for a limited time. The connected speaker uses Google Assistant, which serves as an AI-based assistant serving up information from your Google account, as well as providing information based on Google searches, just as the Google Assistant on smartphones works. You can also link it to music subscription services and directly stream music, or connect via Bluetooth and play audio normally.

The Google Home Mini has the same functionality as the larger Google Home, but has a smaller speaker and form factor. Both of these speakers need an internet connection for full functionality, while the Chromecast provides a link between a smartphone and a TV, allowing it to use streaming services connected to the smartphone. All three Google products are designed to work with various services in India, including YouTube, Google Play Music, Netflix, Saavn and Gaana.
