Google’s India country head, Rajan Anandan, predicts that India will have 300 million Internet users by 2014, up from 100 million right now. In an interview with WSJ, Anandan believes that most of these 200 million new users will come from high-speed wireless services but making money from online advertising will be a difficult task. Of the 100 million users online, Google Search gets over 63 million unique visitors a month and has over 23 million users on YouTube. India also accounts for the highest number of Google+ users, the search giant’s online social network.
