Google had announced the Assistant-powered smart displays at CES 2018 earlier this year. As the name suggests, Google Assistant smart displays feature a tablet-like screen along with a speaker on one side. These smart displays will allow users to play music, make video calls, watch YouTube videos and look at photos, all using voice controls. For smart displays, Google has partnered with companies like JBL, LG, Lenovo, and Sony. Lenovo showcased two variants of its smart display one with an 8-inch display, and another with 10-inch display. The bigger variant will be priced at $250 (Rs 15,900 approximately), while the smaller variant will be priced at $200 (Rs 12,700 approximately). JBL, on the other hand, unveiled the Link View, which comes with an 8-inch display.
Google today revealed that Assistant currently is available on over 500 million devices, and works with over 5,000 home devices. Soon, it ll work in over 30 languages as well.
