The ICC Cricket World Cup is all set to kick off in Australia tomorrow early in the morning. Google has kicked off celebrations a day early by putting up a doodle on its homepage.

The doodle itself is quite simple and isn’t animated unlike some of its other tributes. The doodle features a bowler, batsman, fielder, wicket keeper and an umpire giving his decision. The alphabets forming the word Google are printed on the players’ jerseys. Hovering the mouse over the doodle pops up a message – “The 2015 World Cup.”

India will be defending its title in Australia against 13 other teams. The first match kicks off tomorrow between New Zealand and Sri Lanka, followed by host nation Australia taking on England. India will kick start its campaign on Sunday against arch rivals Pakistan on Sunday February 15.

While the matches will be telecasted on Star Sports, the timing of the matches mean you won’t be able to catch all the matches. There are however other ways to follow the game. You can either use of these five apps for live streaming and score updates on-the-go. Even Twitter and Facebook have integrated new features to be able to follow the game on social media. BCCI has also teamed up with Twitter to offer game updates via missed call.
