We are just a couple of hours away from the launch of much anticipated Google Pixel 2 devices. However, the Google devices expected aren t the best-kept secrets this year. While the countdown for the event has already begun, Pixel 2 XL has been leaked yet again revealing all the specifications of the phone ahead of the launch. The latest leaks come from famous leakster Roland Quandt, which is a compilation of some new and some already rumored specifications that we have been hearing about in the past. To begin with, the specification list mentions that the Google Pixel 2 will flaunt an aluminum body that will also be resistant to dust and water. The listing confirms that the phone will be available in black color. Apart from that, Google is going the all-display route, just like Samsung, LG and Apple.
The list further reveals that the Pixel 2 XL will feature a 6-inch 1,440 x 2,880 P-OLED screen with a pixel density of 538 pixels per inch. The display will be protected by Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The display resolution is similar to what we have seen in the LG G6, suggesting that the Pixel 2 XL will have an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is said to be clocked at 2.35GHz octa-core Qualcomm chipset the model has not been named, but rumors from the past suggest that it will most likely be the Snapdragon 835. It will be paired with 4GB of RAM with 64GB of flash storage. Rumors also suggest that both the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL can be picked up with either 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage. On the camera front, Pixel 2 XL is said to come with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera is not mentioned in the list, however, reports have hinted the main camera to be a 12-megapixel sensor. Keeping the smartphone ticking will be a 3,520mAh battery, which is in lines with previous rumors. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, VoLTE, 4G and NFC to name a few. On the software front, it goes without saying that the device will run Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box with support to Google Assistant.
In terms of the remaining design, at the back, Google will possibly continue with the two-tone combination where the first half is covered in glass and the lower in metal. On the top-left corner, the camera lens and LED flash are placed, and the circular fingerprint sensor sits at the center. The power key and volume rocker are located on the right side. As for the pricing, the Pixel 2 XL 64GB is rumored to cost $849 (approximately Rs 55,800), and the 128GB variant will retail at $949 (approximately Rs 62,300). On the other hand, the Pixel 2 64GB might be priced at $649 (approximately Rs 55,800), and the 128GB variant will cost $749 (approximately Rs 62,300).
