It looks like Google is currently rolling out the “Call Screen” feature to Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL users in the market. This feature was initially announced at the launch of the latest flagship smartphone by the company, the Google Pixel 3. At the launch, the company had already confirmed that the feature will be coming to the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL devices. During the launch event, the company had revealed that Pixel 2 and 2XL devices will get the feature in November. With almost half the month over, Google is finally fulfilling its promise.
If you are unaware about this feature then to recap, this feature allows Google Assistant to “answer” any incoming calls by interacting on your behalf. The assistant asks the caller their name and then offers a number of interaction options to the user to choose from. This means that users do not need to pick up the incoming call and instead, they can interact with incoming call with the help of text template questions or even type a message. The caller on the other end will interact with Google Assistant as a regular call.
