Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are two of the best Android smartphones in the market right now. While they are struck by a number of technical issues, the fluid performance and impressive camera make them a standout in 2018. However, both the smartphones are much more expensive that their predecessor, adding value to rumors of a cheaper Pixel 3 smartphones. Last week, the Pixel 3 Lite leaked in the form of real-life images, suggesting that Google is indeed working on a cheaper version of its flagship device. The device is said to be codenamed ;Sargo’, and it is believed to be a stripped down version of the flagship model. It is said to be powered by Snapdragon 670, which is definitely a step down from the Snapdragon 845 seen on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. While we only saw device pictures and heard about chipset last time around, a new leak from Russian outlet Rozetked shares first camera samples. These pictures are said to be captured using the prototype version of Sargo that the outlet got their hands on last week. These pictures suggest that Google is not compromising on the camera performance with its budget device.
Rozetked notes that some camera features have been disabled in the prototype like Google did with the Pixel 3 XL prototype that was also leaked by the Russian outlet. But the alleged camera samples of Pixel 3 Lite shared by the Russian site suggests it will continue to support portrait mode.
In the past, analysts have claimed that Google will launch a mid-range smartphone with same camera as the one seen on its flagships while cutting down cost by using a low-powered chipset. The sample images themselves show striking resemblance to that of premium Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

The report further speculates that Google will launch this budget smartphone during the first half of 2019, It is rumored to hit retail stores at a price of around $400 and could go head-to-head with OnePlus 6T.
