Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, the successors to last year’s Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, are expected to launch on October 4. This year, Google is believed to take a different approach when it comes to design. The leaks so far indicate that Pixel 3 will feature thin bezel design while the Pixel 3 XL will sport a notched display and chin.
Ahead of the official launch, the Pixel 3 XL has been spotted multiple times in testing, revealing its design in the process. Now, the smartphone has been spotted once again in Toronto. According to MobileSyrup, the Pixel 3 XL was spotted on a TTC Subway, and the person using the device was captured using WhatsApp on the device.
The picture of the Pixel 3 XL spotted by MobileSyrup reader shows a deep notch with two cameras on either side and a speaker grille. The photo also shows the clock and notification icons on the left side of the notch while right seems to show the battery, network signal and vibrate icons. One can also see the redesigned back button introduced with Android 9 Pie in the leaked picture.
The person who snapped picture of the Pixel 3 XL in the wild also managed to capture a picture showing the back of the device. The back of the device seems similar to that of the existing Pixel 2 XL with glass window on top and metal on the lower half. The leaks so far claim that Google is switching to glass rear this year with the top sporting a glossy finish and the lower half getting matte finish.
While it is hard to see the back side of the device, it further confirms that Google will stick with single rear camera system this year as well. The images shared by MobileSyrup show what Google might have in store for Pixel 3 XL this year. The image follows a similar leak where a person was spotted using the smartphone.

It is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC but there are also chances of Qualcomm launching a new chipset in time for Pixel 3. The smartphone is rumored to pack a 3,430mAh battery and might ditch the standard navigation system in favor of gesture interface.
