Google has unveiled its flagship Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, which will be going up for preorders in India next week on October 13. With Apple’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus also going on sale, you can’t help but wonder which smartphones are better performers. Fortunately, the first set of benchmark tests have surfaced online giving us a glimpse at how Apple and Google’s smartphones perform. Both set of smartphones were spotted on GeekBench, and Google‘s Pixel smartphones scored 1,580 on single-core tests and 4,147 on multi-core tests. Apple’s iPhones, on the other hand, score 3,430 in single-core tests and 5,600 in multi-core tests. To put it in simpler terms, Apple’s new iPhones crush Google’s Pixel smartphones when it comes to performance. If we were to take into consideration some more flagship devices, then the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge scores 2,034 in single-core tests and 6,210 in multi-core tests. It is a similar case with AnTuTu benchmark tests, where Apple’s new iPhones outperformed the likes of LeEco Le Pro 3, Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus and Mi 5s to name a few.
Both the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are powered by Apple s 64-bit A10 Fusion quad-core chipset with M10 Motion co-processor. The company claims that the new processor is twice as fast as the A8 chipset which is used in the iPhone 6. In comparision Google s smartphones come with a Snapdragon 821 CPU clocked with 2.15GHz dual-cores and 1.6GHz dual-cores processor. The Pixel phones come with 4GB of RAM while the iPhone 7 Plus has 3GB and the iPhone 7 only has 2GB.
This victory all the more impressive, when you take into consideration the specifications of Apple’s iPhone 7 and the Google Pixel. The iPhone 7 is powered by an A10 Fusion 64-bit quad-core chipset paired with M10 motion co-processor and 2GB of RAM. The Google Pixel, on the other hand, is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM.

Besides the processor, the Pixel comes with a 5-inch full HD (1080p) display, 2,770mAh battery, and 32GB and 128GB storage options. The smartphones also sports a 12.3-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel selfie camera, fingerprint scanner, and connectivity options such as USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and NFC. Apple iPhone 7 specifications
The iPhone 7, on the other hand, features a 4.7-inch HD display, and three storage options — 32GB, 128GB and 256GB. It also features a 12-megapixel rear camera, 7-megapixel selfie camera, and connectivity options like 4G LTE support, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11. The iPhone 7 runs on iOS 10 out-of-the-box.
