Remember the new material design along with the dark mode that Google rolled out for its Android Messages app. This was noticed by a number of users in the Google Pixel sub-Reddit. This came hours after the company started rolling out the new theme and the dark theme for the app. It’s interesting enough that users who have installed the latest version of the app also have been pushed back to the older interface. The company has not issued any statement at the time of writing on why it decided to pull back the new interface update. It is likely that the company was only testing the new interface and wanted some feedback from users or the more likely scenario is that the theme had some issue and the company wanted to polish it further before rolling it out for everyone. This was initially reported by XDA Developers and users on subreddit pointed out that the company initially rolled back the dark mode option and later pulled the new material design theme as well. For the people who don t know what happened, the company rolled out a fresh coat of paint of the new material design along with the much anticipated dark mode for its Android Messages app.
