This is how the feature works you type a word in Google search and there would be two tabs of search results. One would be in English and the other in Hindi. You can easily switch between either of the two tabs as per your choice and convenience. This solves the problem of having to change language settings to use Google search and would benefit many users in India. This feature is currently available for mobile users in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Delhi and West Bengal. The new feature has only been rolled out for mobile users only and is not available for web as of yet.
Shekhar Sharad, Product Manager, International Search of Google said that this feature works across queries ranging from movies, sport, health and more. He further added, India would now be able to search for information online the same way they live: moving between multiple languages depending on the moment or the audience.
Google has been working to improve the Search tool and has had a few changes recently. Talking about India, Google had recently revamped its search tools for Indian movie buffs. Concentrating on India s large market in Bollywood and Tollywood, Google has customized search results for movie queries wherein added information would include Knowledge Graph, movie timings and featured snippets.
