Google‘s second-generation smartphones are out in the market. However, people using the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL spotted many problems such as the clicking sound, blue tint and burn-in issue with the smartphones. While Google is aware of these problems and has also responded and issued a temporary fix to some of the problems, new reports have emerged about the audio recording issues on the Pixel 2 XL. Google Pixel 2 XL users have reported terrible audio quality while recording video in the Google Pixel User Community. The audio quality is said to be overly sharp and tinny. However, no complaints have been raised on the smaller Pixel 2 phone.
Google has now acknowledged this flaw in a response to CNET and has also promised that the company will soon roll out a software update in the coming weeks. While Google has not issued a tentative date for the same, the upcoming software updates for the Pixel 2 XL are confirmed to bring in major changes. Some of the changes include a reduction in the display s maximum brightness by 50 nits an amount Google says is almost undetectable, but that should reduce strain on the display significantly. The update will also see some changes in the UI to prevent burn-in on elements such as the navigation bar. ALSO READ: Google Pixel 2 XL First impressions: Feature loaded and oozes Google sweetness
Google Pixel 2 users also complained about clicking and high-pitched sounds emitting from the devices. However, Google has offered a temporary fix for this problem. Google suggests users turn off the NFC if they hear the ticking sound. Last week, Pixel 2 XL users have reported a blue tint issue that can be seen when users looked at the phone from different angles. Reports suggest that this is mainly due to the use of low-quality OLED display. ALSO READ: Google Pixel 2: Even if the newest flagship doesn t succeed, Android is still winning
