Google is known for commemorating historical events, birthdays of famous personalities with a doodle. Today, the search engine giant is celebrating its own 19th birthday with the most exciting doodle yet. Google’s Doodle is decorated with items like party hats, balloons, presents, and a birthday cake. The giant ‘O’ takes the shape of a spinner, which actually has doodles and games hidden underneath it. Google was officially founded in the year 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, and the first doodle was created in the same year. The first Google doodle was in celebrating the Burning Man Festival designed by both the founders. It was actually created to notify users of of both Page and Brin attending the festival, and not being available.
Coming to today’s doodle, you can start spinning to play the chosen game or spin again for a different one. From the series you will come across interesting results like animal sounds, which is basically a Google Search result. Bringing back its memorable doodles, there’s PAC-MAN’s 30th doodle for the 30th anniversary of the game on May 21, 2010. The doodle opens to a small screen at the center where you can play the game.
There’s the classic solitaire game which you can also play on the popup screen itself. Google also has its own 15th birthday doodle of a pi ata. In this game, you just have to keep hitting the pi ata and get a high score. Most recent doodles include the ICC Champions Trophy 2017, and 44th birth anniversary of Hip Hop. There are birthday doodles of famous personalities too like American pharmacist Wilbur Scoville, and Clara Rockmore who was a violin prodigy, and a virtuoso performer of the theremin. The spinner has some interesting surprises like the Google Maps collection of Galapagos Islands, and an Earth Day trivia quiz. The Maps collection includes a photos and videos of the Galapagos Islands. The Earth Day trivia quiz is actually a fun one to identify which animal you are based on your personality. There’s a very easy to follow one minute breathing exercise for those who need to take a breather. The famed Pony Express, which uses horse and rider relay teams to deliver mail, also has a special mention in the form of a game. Although the entire series isn’t mentioned here, the most fun game of the lot has to be the Pangolin Love game. On Valentine’s Day this year, Google made a collection of games which tell a love story between two Pangolins. You can play the entire series here. The cute love story was actually portrayed to raise awareness about one of the most hunted and trafficked animals in the world.
