The talking points on the Hero4 Session are its compactness and how GoPro has managed to shed weight from the already portable camera. Despite the tweaks, the new camera is compatible with the existing GoPro mounts. Also Read - GoPro Hero 9 Black to be announced on September 16, specifications leaked
The Hero4 Session can click still photos at 8-megapixel in single, burst and time lapse mode. As for videos, it is able to capture 1080p videos at 60fps, 720p videos at 100fps and 1440p videos at 30fps.
It features two microphones that work together to reduce wind noise, and a single button interface. Users will be able to switch between modes via short and long presses. As you would expect from GoPro, this new camera too is rugged, and can survive underwater up to 33 meters without the need of any external case.
Connectivity options include built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to connect to smartphones using either the GoPro or the Smart Remote app.
